The Transformation Academy is only recommended for the serious student. Participants in this program receive partial to full scholarships depending on physical ability. It is considered the premiere dance school for urban youth interested in making dance their primary focus. UDA provides structured training programs and performance opportunities that reinforce the principle of dance as well as the physical, artistic, and creative skills inherent in learning dance for youth ages 8 --19. Students in this program are required to complete all of the courses offered at the Academy simultaneously all year round. Students have been accepted to acclaimed performing arts high schools and colleges as well as being selected for Broadway Shows and featured roles on National Television, commercials, videos, and modeling opportunities for Capezio. Participants in this program are eligible to be selected for contracts for the Uptown Kids Urban Dance Theatre one of the top professional youth groups in NYC these performers have won numerous competitions and well as been featured on the CBS Morning Show, NBC, CW11 and the Front Page of the NY Times. Their Annual performance of the Black Nutcracker has become as popular as Radio City Music Halls Christmas Spectacular.
