Pre-Professional

The Uptown Dance Academy, Inc. provides instruction during after-school hours. Individual classes are offered for the beginner and intermediate level student; as well as members of its flagship group, the UPTOWN KIDS URBAN DANCE THEATRE (UKUDT). Classes for the UPTOWN KIDS URBAN DANCE THEATRE are by audition only. Female students must be adaptable to Pointe work and all students must have at least an 80 grade point average in school.

UPTOWN KIDS URBAN DANCE THEATRE is only recommended for the serious student. Those selected, perform approximately 40 times a year at various venues throughout the tri-state area. They are also required to complete the full UDA curriculum provided by our diverse teaching staff.
