Welcome Home Campaign

The Uptown Dance Academy is deeply devastated and mourns the passing of Prince. We remain forever grateful for his seed gift of $250,000 we received in 2011 to start a $2.5 Million Campaign to get back on track after losing our 16,000 sq ft facility.

We have officially changed the Campaign name to the
"Prince Youth into Stars Expansion Campaign."
We are asking the community to get on Board to help us finish the campaign that Prince started by our donating to our campaign or becoming a monthly donor

After watching our Black Nutcracker, the Artist Prince, his New Power Generation, and Misty Copeland, the first African American soloist at American Ballet Theatre, donated $250,000 to our $2.5 Million Welcome Home Capital Campaign to help rebuild and move back into our space we occupied for 9 years. The donation also helps us to purchase supplies, pay instructors and subsidize scholarships for students with financial needs.  Misty and Prince are asking that the community match their donation 3-to-1 to finish the job that Prince started.

Donation amount of your choice

YES! I would like to support Uptown Dance Academy by making a tax deductible contribution.

$20 Monthly Donation

I’d like to become a Transformation Partner and make a $20 monthly donation, in honor of UDA’s 21st Anniversary. This option helps contribute to a child in need of a scholarship and insures financial stability.
